What does the report look at?
Only your homepage. We look at whether it loads securely, the security headers it sends, its cookies, whether a CDN is in front, what platform details it gives away, the title and description search engines show, and whether your domain registration is current.
Is this a full security scan?
No. It reads what your homepage already sends to every visitor. It does not probe, log in, or test forms. A full audit goes much deeper and is part of our IT assessment.
Why does it say it could not check something?
Some things cannot be read from one page fetch, such as certificate dates, and some sites answer our check with a firewall page. When that happens, the report says it could not check instead of guessing.
My site uses bot protection and the report says a firewall blocked the check. Is that bad?
No. Your bot protection is working as intended, so our check saw the challenge page instead of your site.
