Trades and contractors
IT for crews that work in the field.
We automate quoting, scheduling and invoicing for plumbers, builders and contractors, set up a business phone line that rings on your field staff's mobile phones, and provide ongoing support.

What we see in trades and construction.
Estimates, schedules, and invoices move between the office and the job sites throughout the day, often without anyone on staff responsible for IT.
Common problems
Project files live on one laptop, three people set up the scheduling app three different ways, the website brings in few calls, and every tablet shares one password.
What we do about it
We set up the field service software once and properly, manage the tablets and phones so one that falls off a truck can be wiped, back up every project folder, and build the website to turn a search into a call.
The cost of unmanaged IT
Ransomware on the estimating computer stops every bid. A dead laptop can take a year of photos and change orders with it, and a slow website sends the customer to the next contractor.
What we handle for a contractor.
Booking and scheduling systems
Field service, quoting, and invoicing tools set up around how your crews work, with automation for the repetitive parts.

How it works
How we start with a contractor.
- 01
Assessment
We review how jobs are quoted, scheduled, invoiced, and documented today, what is backed up, and how the website handles a lead, and document the findings.
- 02
Set up the tools once
We configure the field software, enroll and lock down the devices, get backups running, and rebuild or fix the website to bring in calls.
- 03
Managed, month after month
Monitoring, patching, and backups run quietly. Your crew has one number to call. We review what is working every quarter.
Technical details.
Do you work with our field service software?
Yes. We set up scheduling, dispatch, quoting, invoicing, and payments around your workflow, connect it to your accounting, and train the crew.
What happens when a tablet falls off the truck?
It is enrolled in device management, so we wipe it remotely, and the replacement gets the same apps and sign-in without starting from scratch.
How does the website generate calls?
We build fast pages that work on a phone, one page for each service and city you want, click-to-call and short forms, and tie in your Google Business Profile so reviews and the map listing work together.
Can you connect the field app to accounting?
Yes. Invoices, payments, and customer records sync to QuickBooks or your accounting system so the office does not retype them.
What about the plans and photos on one laptop?
They move to shared cloud storage with daily backups and permissions, covered by the same data backup and disaster recovery for contractors we run for the office, so the laptop becomes replaceable.
Can you track quote requests and jobs in one place?
Every quote request and job goes into one pipeline through a CRM for contractors, tracked from the first call to the finished job. A call or a website form opens the job without the office retyping anything. We set the pipeline up, maintain it, and show the office how to work it.
We're a general contractor and IT was never something we thought about until ransomware locked up all our project files. 850 IT Services got us back up and running, then put systems in place so it wouldn't happen again. Now they handle everything from our server to our field tablets. We build houses, they keep our tech running. Fair trade.
Questions
Questions about IT for contractors and trades.
Is managed IT right for our company?
It is well suited to contractors with office staff and field crews who depend on the same scheduling, estimating, and accounting systems. The monthly fee is set after a discovery meeting, based on the devices and systems you have.
Can you fix the website we already have?
Yes, in many cases. A fast, well-built site can be improved in place. A slow template site is rebuilt on the same domain.
Do you handle the Google listing?
Yes. We set up the Google Business Profile, categories, photos, and review requests, and tie them to the website. That is where review management for contractors starts.
How fast do you respond?
If the whole business is down, we respond within 30 minutes during business hours. If a crew or a key system is down, within 2 hours. If one person cannot work, or you have a request, we respond the same business day. Questions and projects receive a response the next business day.
